Licensed Practical Nurse
Our client, a Long-Term Care Facility is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurses to provide quality nursing care under the direction of registered nurses, and other health team members. As a Licensed Practical Nurse you will work with Care Workers and Registered Nurses as well as other Administration staff to promote and restore patients? health.
This is a permanent full time position with weekly hours ranging from 28 to 40 hours per week, individuals must be willing to work 8 to 12 hour shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
As a Licensed practical Nurse you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties: Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
Perform nursing interventions such as taking vital signs, applying aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensuring infection control, monitoring nutritional intake and conducting specimen collection
Administer medication and observe and document therapeutic effects
Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy
Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
Maintain a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods. Maintain patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families. Maintain patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
The minimum requirements for this position include either current PEILPNA licensure or eligibility for licensure within 2-4 weeks of hiring. Also, the selected candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years LPN experience from a recognized healthcare facility.
